Connecting to Themes
How does your textbook characterize the period we are examining? How does your community's experience during this period compare to the textbook's description of the national experience? How are they different? What might explain this difference? How could you write one sentence that summarizes your findings in a way that is interesting to people outside your community? If you sent this sentence to the author of your textbook, where in the text would you suggest it be included?
